This is my favorite thing I've drawn for DarkBlacknoid's sylph characters. It's a battle helmet, with the design sunk in Roman crested centurion helms, but also inspired by Mayan headdresses and Inuit art forms.
When I was drawing winged helmets, I had to make sure to make something original. I drew a lot of helmets that looked like the winged ones from Gondor in Lord of the Rings. I think this one is unique. |
